Developing School-Family-Community Partnership (DSFC) | Service-Learning Project|The Unknown Fairies| April 2019 - August 2019
During my 2nd year in my course of study, I had a Service - Learning project over 4 months in partnership with the National Institute of Early Childhood (NIEC) - Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM).
I took up the role as a leader and brainstormed with my team on doing an interactive board and a take-home-kit for children.

PRE-EVENT
My group planned, proposed and executed our own project in wanting to create an awareness of civic-mindedness of the tray return culture in Singapore and the importance of it to children. We reached out to a local childcare centre (Little Green House @ Jurong West) and got an opportunity to spend a day with 10 Kindergarten 1 children there (4 - 5 years old).

EVENT DAY | 2nd July 2019
We came out with an interactive board on social etiquette, created a matching game related to the environment in food centres and used the cover of recycled boxes as "trays" for children to decorate as their take-home-kit. We also got parent's of children to write messages of appreciation to the cleaners who are maintaining the cleanliness of our food centres.
Project was well received by the children at Little Green House @ Jurong West. Children were seen enjoying themselves and were able to share and reflect on their actions.
